Link Love – Lego, PHP, flaming cars and more
Interesting things from my week. Some web, some not!
- PHP: Decided to refresh my basic PHP skills with a read through of this tutorial. Could not stop giggling at the pizza and bear analogies.
- Design: Worth a read for everyone. It’s really interesting to see how the design process is shifting, and the guys at GDS are doing a stand up job. Someone asked me the other day when to involve a designer in a project, the answer is from the beginning and all the time. GDS make a point of this, it’s worth noting!
- Toys: Lego! From ages ago! Washing up on Cornish beaches!
- Art: Creepy painting of Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. Really captures the essence of his character.
- Front End: Can I Use got an upgraded design! Note the speed of loading, ahh.
- Design: Interesting website examples to get you thinking, including…
- Design: This beautifully interactive website amalgamating lots of personal data. The ‘making of’ article is well worth a read!
- Flaming Cars: Fellow D4IMer Claire has gone on a road trip around Europe in the most fabulous car I have ever seen!
- Photography: Stunning photographs of the world’s more unusual places! Invites you to explore. Hard to stop clicking.
- CSS: Different ways you can get that perfect full page background image.
- Design/Writing: A unique experience from a writer. I defy you to not keep clicking. I started going slightly mad. The writing’s good too!
Have a great weekend!
