Do you like cookies?
As of yesterday, 26th May 2012, EU based companies are required to have information on their websites explaining the cookies that they use. The ICO wrote a big document. People read it. Much, much confusion has ensued.
The ICO posted some further guidance on Friday which may have cleared things up a bit. I’ve spent some time having a look around various EU based sites to see what they’ve done. Below are some examples. They’re not necessarily right or wrong, but it’s interesting to see how people are interpreting the legislation.

Always a good example to follow as they’ve got lots of legal behind them. Hopefully their friendly message will prevent the majority of users panicking if they see this message elsewhere.
